INDIANAPOLIS – Marian University head volleyball coach Ashlee Pritchard is proud to announce the Knights first commitment for the 2013-14 season.

Lauren Gregory, who will graduate from Brownsburg High School in the spring, is the Knights first pickup for the 2013-14 season. In her time at BHS she was a member of the honor roll and a member of the National Society of High School Scholars.

Gregory, a 6-0 outside hitter, earned three varsity letters in her time with the Bulldogs. In 2012 she was awarded all-conference honorable mention honors in the Hoosier Crossroads Conference.

"We are so excited to have Lauren join our Marian Volleyball family." Said coach Pritchard, who will be entering her second season. "Lauren brings a lot to the table with her tremendous training from Coach Yeager and her club coaches from Circle City. Lauren is a versatile hitter, a great defender and blocker, and she will have a large impact on our program. Lauren's competitive nature and her drive for excellence will take her very far in life and on the court and we are so excited that she decided to continue her playing career and her education at Marian University."

Gregory is an undecided major, born on January 19, 1995, to parents Terry and Shelly. She has one brother and one sister.

Coach Pritchard led the Knights to a 14-14 record in her first year at the helm and a 11-7 record in league play. This offseason will mark coach Pritchard's first recruiting class at Marian University.
