JOLIET, Ill. - The Marian University men's tennis team moved to 5-4 in the spring season after the University of St. Francis (Ill.) defeated the Knights by a 7-2 score on Saturday afternoon in Joliet, Ill.

The Knights fell to 16-8 on the year, while the Fighting Saints improved to 13-6 in 2012-13.

Sophomore Mitchell Trammel continued his hot season as he picked up a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 4-singles to move to 22-1 in 2012-13. He continues to add to his single-season record for singles victories. Freshman Taylor Kinney moved to 7-3 in 2012-13 with a 7-6 (7-4), 6-1 win at No. 6-singles.

The Knights will continue their season-ending road swing when they head to Transylvania University (Ky.) on Friday afternoon. First serve is slated for 3 p.m.
