The Knights defeated Georgetown, 9-0
INDIANAPOLIS – The Marian University men's tennis team improved to 4-0 on the season after an 8-1 win over Georgetown College on Thursday.
The Knights continued their improvement in doubles play as they swept the Georgetown doubles competition. Sophomore Jason Denton
and freshman Marty Pochop
again took the court for Coach Steve Mackell
at No. 1 doubles and won 8-4.
The Knights also continued to look good in singles play as they won all of their singles matches except for at No. 4 where Pochop was defeated, 6-1, 6-0. Sophomore Ryan Heuer
had the easiest day of all of the Knights as he picked up a victory by default at No. 6 singles due to Georgetown not having anyone to fill the spot.

was the last Knight off the court has he continued his winning ways with a 6-0, 6-2 victory at No. 5 singles
In singles play, four Knights remain unbeaten after Thursday as freshman Danny Albert
, Sophomore Jack Hiatt
, Heuer and Trammel continue to win.
The Knights will be back in action on September 7 when they take on Spring Arbor at the MU Tennis Courts. First serve is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
