INDIANAPOLIS - Freshman defensive specialist Taylor Greenan was named the Crossroads League Libero of the Week after leading MU to a 2-0 record last week, the league office announced on Monday.

Greenan, an Indianapolis native and Cardinal Ritter High School graduate, has led the MU defense to an 18-10 overall record and the No. 4 seed in the league tournament, which begins on Tuesday.

She broke the 13-year old single-season school record for digs with her 527th dig in MU's 3-0 win over IU-East on Wednesday night. The record of 526 was held by J'nai Lefevre and was set in 2000. Greenan tallied a team-high 11 digs in that win before notching a team-high 17 digs on Friday night to bring her season total to 550 digs. She also has 16 service aces and six kills on the season.

The honor is the first of the season for the Knights and is the second honor for all sports in the fall season. She joins Larz Coy of the men's soccer team as the only MU player to earn the honor this season.

MU will play host to fifth-seeded Grace College (19-15) on Tuesday night at the Physical Education Center in the opening round of the 2013 Crossroads League Tournament. First serve is slated for 7 p.m. and the match will be video-streamed LIVE on the Knights Athletics Network at MUKNIGHTS.com.
