GOSHEN, Ind. - The Marian University volleyball team picked up its second straight victory on Friday night after the Knights defeated Goshen College in four sets, 21-25, 25-22, 25-20, 25-18, at the Gingerich Center in Goshen, Ind.

MU moved to 5-10 overall and 2-4 in league play, while the Maple Leafs dropped to 6-6 overall and 2-3 in league play.

Sophomore Emily Graves led the MU attack with a team-high 10 kills, while sophomore Lauren Gregory and freshmen Crystal Williams and Ericka Ham each added nine kills. Sophomore Maddie Heidenreich finished with a double-double after she notched 16 assists and 14 digs, while freshman Julie Hoying added 28 assists for MU.

Freshman AlyxaKay Shields notched a match-high 37 digs in defense as MU amassed 23 block assists as a team. Graves notched a match-high six block assists, while Williams and Gregory each added five.

The Knights will remain in northern Indiana overnight and head to Bethel College in Mishawaka, Ind., for a showdown with the Pilots (8-7; 2-3 CL) at the Wiekamp Center. First serve is slated for 3 p.m.
