INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Marian University volleyball team dropped its third straight match in four sets, 31-29, 23-25, 25-21, 25-18, to Taylor University on Friday night. The defeat brings the Knights' record to 5-13 overall and 3-9 in the Crossroads League.

Sophomore Frannie Stephenson tallied a match-high 16 kills as she led four Knights in double figures in the attack. Sophomore AlyxaKay Shields notched a double-double with 11 kills and a match-high 20 digs, while sophomore Crystal Williams registered 14 kills and junior Emily Graves added 11 kills. Sophomore Julie Hoying recorded a career-high 56 assists  and tallied eight digs to go with two block assists for MU.

Junior Maddie Heidenreich registered 11 digs, while junior Vanessa Lay also added 11 digs in defense.

The Knights are back in action on Saturday at the Physical Education Center when they host Mt. Vernon Nazarene University (23-1; 13-1 CL). The match is set for a 2 p.m. first serve and LIVE STATS will be available at MUKNIGHTS.com.
