HUNTINGTON, Ind. - The Marian University volleyball team had its winning string snapped at the hands of Huntington University on Wednesday night in a 3-1 decision, 25-23, 25-22, 20-25, 25-13, at the Merillat Complex in Huntington, Ind. MU fell to 7-16 overall and 4-11 in league play.

The Knights registered 45 kills and averaged 11.25 kills per set, but recorded 37 attack errors for a .050 attack percentage on the evening.

Sophomore Frannie Stephenson recorded a double-double on the evening with a match-high 16 kills and a team-high 17 digs, while sophomore AlyxaKay Shields also registered a double-double with 11 kills and 13 digs for MU. Stephenson now has recorded 17 matches with 10 or more kills and has five double-doubles on the year.

Sophomore Julie Hoying notched 41 assists for her seventh match with 40 or more assists, while juniors Kylie Flanagan and Maddie Heidenreich added 10 and 15 digs, respectively, in defense for the Knights.

The Knights will remain on the road when they head to Saint Francis (Ind.) (10-22; 5-11 CL) for a critical Crossroads League match on Friday night. First serve from the Hutzell Athletic Center in Fort Wayne, Ind., is slated for 7 p.m.
