14 Knights have qualified in six different events in Gulf Shores, Ala.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Marian University women's track and field team will be sending a contingent of 14 women to compete in six different events in Gulf Shores, Alabama for the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships May 26th thru the 28th. 

Six different sprinters are ranked  15th in the NAIA in the 4x100 meter relay with a time of 47.43 – sophomore Lateefah Birks, junior  Natalia Font, junior Kaitlyn Moricz, senior Lindsey Nichols, sophomore Destiney Patterson, and freshman Mieke Paulick.

Eight Knights qualified for the 4x400 meter relay and is ranked 17th with a time of 3:56.05 – Birks, senior Courtney Crane, sophomore Becka Flora, freshman Olivia Koehl, senior Ann Kuntz, Nichols, Patterson, and sophomore  Kiersten Schrope.

Eight Knights also earned sports for the 4x800 meter relay and is ranked eighth with a time of 9:19.27– Crane, sophomore Rachel Dever, junior Anna Dudley, Flora, Koehl, Kuntz, Schrope, and freshman Brittany Sharp.

Sharp also qualified for the 10,000 meter run with a time of 37:52.11 and is ranked 12th.

Birks is ranked 22nd in the 400 meter dash and enters with a best time of 57.15.

Moricz is ranked 12th in the pole vault after meeting a mark of 3.60 meters.
