KANSAS CITY –The Marian men's and women's golf teams will both begin the 2016 season in the NAIA Top 25, as announced by the NAIA Friday afternoon. The men begin the year ranked 22nd, while the women start at number 20.


The men accumulated 135 points in the poll and Marian is one of two Crossroads League members represented in the top 25. Taylor will start the year one spot ahead of the Knights at number 21. Defending champion Oklahoma City will begin the year ranked number one.

The women are ranked 20th in the first poll of the season and accumulated 189 points. Marian is the only Crossroads League team in the top 25 to start the season, although Bethel is just outside the top 25 and receiving votes. Keiser is tabbed number one to begin the season.

The Marian men will open the season Aug. 29-30 at the Wolf Pack Invite in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, while the women will begin Sept. 9 at the ONU Tiger Intercollegiate in St. Anne, Illinois. Your online source for Marian Athletics, tickets, multimedia, Knight merchandise, photos and more.
