GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Marian men's tennis team competed at day two of the ITA Regionals in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Friday. Alex Wittenbaum led the way for Marian with a win at both singles and doubles.

In singles play, Wittenbaum defeated Matthew Boyle (Davenport) 6-2, 2-6 in the consolation round of 16. Then, in the consolation quarterfinals, Wittenbaum was victorious over Haja Denise (Davenport) 7-6(5), 6-0. He plays in tomorrow morning's consolation semifinal against Jean-Marc Krone (UNOH).

In doubles action, the pair of Danny Albert and Wittenbaum won against Evan Taylor and Austin Luker (Aquinas) 8-4 in the round of 16. The pair was unable to claim victory in the quarterfinals, falling to Radu Popa and Iustin Baciu (UNOH) 8-5.
