INDIANAPOLIS – The Marian men's tennis team came out on the losing end for the first time this season, falling 8-1 to DePauw Tuesday at the Marian Tennis Courts. The loss snaps a five-match winning streak for the Knights.


The lone win came in doubles play as Danny Albert and Nathan Bogle defeated Dan Rodefeld and Patrick Farrell, 8-6. Marty Pochop and Ian Deiters lost by the same score, while Patrick Holly and Alex Wittenbaum fell 8-2 to Matt Santer and John Daseke.

DePauw swept singles play as Bogle fell at No. 1, 6-2, 6-1 to Rodefeld and Albert lost to Farrell 6-2, 6-3 at No. 2. Wittenbaum lost to Santer 6-0, 6-0, while Deiters lost to Matt Quammer 6-2, 7-5. Anthony Kendall lost to Harold Martin 6-3, 6-1 and Alex Collins lost to Greg Franenheim 6-2, 6-1.
