Fort Wayne, Ind. – The Marian volleyball team won their second straight match, following a 3-0 sweep over Crossroads League foe St. Francis (Ind.). The win improves the Knights record to 11-7 overall and 4-4 in Crossroads League play this season. Marian's win dropped St. Francis' record to 2-14 overall and 1-7 in conference play.


Marian played tight and competitive volleyball all night, winning a close first set 25-21. The Knights then proceeded to take the second set 25-18. The Knights and Cougars went back and forth during the third set, with neither team able to take control of the lead. The Knights ultimately got the advantage and won the final frame 27-25, following a game-sealing block by Emily Graves and Ericka Ham.

The Knights have increased their winning streak to two, both toward the overall and conference record. The Knights leading attackers were Frannie Stephenson and Ericka Ham, who each recorded nine kills. The Knights recorded 36 assists in the contest, with Madi Heffron leading the team at 16 assists. Emily Graves led Marian in blocks, recording one solo block and three block assists.
