SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The Marian men's tennis team closed the regular season the same way they opened it – dominating the competition. The Knights defeated Spring Arbor 8-1 in Spring Arbor, Michigan, Friday afternoon. The win pushes MU to 8-1 overall and 8-0 in the Crossroads League. The win also seals the regular season conference championship for the Knights.

The Knights took two out of three doubles competitions with Danny Albert and Nathan Bogle defeating Nick Romano and Vincent McShane 8-5, while Ian Deiters and Marty Pochop blanked Jacob Byrd and Jonah Eagle 8-0. Spring Arbor picked up its win at No. 3 as Alex Reinbold and Josh Scott beat Patrick Holly and Alex Wittenbaum 8-5.

MU made a clean sweep of singles play as Pochop defeated Romano 6-2, 6-4 and Bogle bested Reinbold 6-2, 6-0. Albert beat McShane 6-1, 6-0, while Wittenbaum bounced back to top Jonah Eagle 7-5, 7-6 (2). Deiters defeated Byrd at No. 5, 6-2, 6-2 and Anthony Kendall beat Sam Head 6-3, 7-6 (8) to clinch the match.
