WILLIAMSBURG, Kentucky - The Marian College men's golf team pulled out an 11th-place finish at the 2009 Southeastern Kentucky Invitational on Monday and Tuesday.
The Knights sat in 11th after day one and finished in 11th after 36 holes were completed. The Knights carded a 310 on day one and came in with a 313 on day two.
Leading the way for the Knights was freshman
Sean Jones (Indianapolis/North Central). He carded a 153 (75-78) to earn a tie for 26th place.
Senior
Jacob Murray (Logansport, Indiana/Logansport) and junior
Nick Olsen (White Pigeon, Michigan/White Pigeon) each tied for 43rd place after both players carded a 157 (78-79).
Junior
Luke Weber (North Vernon, Indiana/Jennings County) pulled out a 52nd-place finish after he carded a 158 (81-77). Senior
Evan Brown (New Albany, Indiana/New Albany) rounded out the Knights' lineup with a 159 (79-80).
Freshman
Brandin Newton (Crawfordsville, Indiana/Crawfordsville) also shot a 162 (80-82) as an individual.
The Knights head down the street to the Brickyard Crossing Golf Course for the NAIA Midwest Classic on Monday and Tuesday, April 13 and 14.
