INDIANAPOLIS – The Marian men's tennis team left no doubt Tuesday, defeating St. Francis 9-0 in the Crossroads League Tournament Quarterfinals at the Marian Tennis Courts. The Knights were perfect, winning all six singles matches in two sets and never relenting more than three points in doubles.


Danny Albert and Nathan Bogle defeated Nathan Barger and Jay Stanchin 8-3 in No. 1 doubles, while Ian Deiters and Marty Pochop beat Daniel Harrold and Austin Overlander 8-3. Alex Collins and Alex Wittenbaum took care of business at No. 3, winning 8-1 over Alex Stavretis and Tyler Chrislieb.

In singles play, Pochop led the way at No. 1 with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Barger. Bogle, after being named Crossroads League Player of the Week earlier in the day, beat Overlander 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2, while Albert bested Stanchin 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3. Wittenbaum moved up to No. 4 today and defeated Stavretis 6-1, 6-2, while Deiters beat Harrold 6-0, 6-1. Anthony Kendall competed at No. 6 and beat Chrislieb 6-1, 6-1.
