INDIANAPOLIS – One week after defeating Grace in the regular season, the Marian volleyball team bested the Lancers again, this time winning 3-0 in the Crossroads League Tournament quarterfinals Saturday in Indianapolis. With the win, Marian moves on to play top-seeded Indiana Wesleyan. The win pushes Marian to 22-11 on the season.

The Knights won the first set 25-20 and earned a 25-22 win in the second set. Marian closed out the night with a 25-17 win in the third and final set.

The Knights bested the Lancers in every major statistical category and limited themselves to only 14 errors, while Grace committed 18. Marian recorded 45 kills compared to Grace's 33 and also held a 24.6 hitting percentage compared to a 13.9 for Grace.

Frannie Stephenson led the way with 16 kills and seven digs, while also contributing a service ace and a block assist. Emily Graves chipped in with nine kills, AlyxaKay Shields added six and Hannah Trout recorded five.

Madi Heffron led the Knights with 20 assists, while Julie Hoying added 15. Vanessa Lay led the Knights with 18 digs and broke the Marian single-season record for digs in the process, while Megan Hawley added 10.
