INDIANAPOLIS – The Marian wrestling team lost another close dual Thursday evening, falling 30-24 at Bellarmine in Louisville, Kentucky.

Marian grabbed a quick 12-0 advantage as Bellarmine forfeited the 125 and 133 matches. However, after Logan Hurley was pinned in the 141 match and Marian forfeited the 149 match, the score evened at 12 apiece.

Bellarmine picked up a win by pin in the 157 match, but a forfeit at 165 helped Marian to draw even at 18. The see-saw affair continued as Quinn Cecil was pinned in the 174 match, but Charlie Hill answered with a pin of his own in the 184 match.

Tied at 24 with two matches remaining, Bellarmine picked up two wins by decision and left with the six-point win. Marian will now prepare for NAIA Regionals Feb. 18. Your online source for Marian Athletics, tickets, multimedia, Knight merchandise, photos and more.
