MARION, Ind. - The Marian men's and women's track teams competed at the first day of the Crossroads League Invitational Friday at Indiana Wesleyan in Marion, Indiana. Both teams showed well, winning multiple events. The men were first overall, while the women were second.

For the men, Marian dominated the 60 meters as Moussa Conde won with a time of 6.87 seconds, which hit the NAIA A Standard. Sogo Akinyosoye placed third at seven seconds flat and was 0.02 away from a second place finish. Richard Von Behr also finished 10th at 7.12 seconds. The 600 meters also belonged to the Knights as Mychal Vinson placed first with a time of 1:21.86, which hit the NAIA A Standard as well. James Bryant finished third in 1:24.29. 

Taylor Killings led the Knights in the 60-meter hurdles, finishing second in 8.15 seconds, while Jeremy Shupperd finished fourth and Marcus Griffin finished seventh. Marian's 4x800 meter relay team of Presley MartinChandler BallIsaak Haas and Gabriel Ocasio also won it's race with an NAIA A Standard qualifying time of 7:55.00. The DMR team of Martin, Ball, Haas and Zach Sneiderwine placed second in 10:21.78, which also hit the A Standard. 

In the pole vault, Garrett Johnson and Clayton Wilson finished second and third, respectively. In the long jump, Marcellion GardnerJonathon Greene and Drezden Johnson placed sixth, seventh and eighth, respectively. Jonah Mikel picked up a ninth place finish in the weight throw with a toss of 12.78 meters. 

For the women, Lateefah Birks finished third in the 60 meters with a time of 7.96 seconds, while Destiny Patterson finished eighth. In the 600 meters, Olivia Koehl finished second with a time of 1:36.60, while Morgan Hayse crossed the line ninth in the 5000 meters. In the 60 meter hurdles, Mieke Paulick and Tamia Mills finished fifth and seventh, respectively.

In the 4x800 meter relay, Kiersten SchropeRachel DeverAnna Dudley and Koehl finished first and hit the A Standard with a time of 9:38.41. The DMR team of Schrope, Dever, Koehl and Birks then finished second with a time of 12:37.65 and hit the B Standard. Kyndal Herring finished second in the long jump, clearing 5.18 meters, while Mills finished third and Amelia Robben finished fifth.
