KANKAKEE, Illinois - The Marian College women's track and field squad picked up
a sixth-place finish at the Olivet Nazarene University Invitational on Saturday.
Senior
Maureen Haaker (Arlington Heights, Illinois/Arlington
Heights) reset her own school record in the hammer throw with a toss of
44.58 meters. She finished third in the event.
Senior
Stefanie Krueger (Tell City, Indiana/Tell City)
picked up a third-place finish in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of
13:41, while sophomore
Emily Miller (Eaton, Indiana/Delta)
finished fourth in the 5000-meter run with a time of 19:46. She also finished
fifth in the 1500-meter run with a time of 5:11.03.
Junior
Megan Egenolf (Plainfield, Indiana/Plainfield) and
sophomore
Kirsten Sordelet (Fort Wayne, Indiana/Bishop Dwenger)
tied for fourth place in the high jump with a leap of 1.48 meters. Junior
Lyndy Errett (Martinsville, Indiana/Martinsville) finished
third in the shot put with a throw of 11.55 meters.
The Knights head to the Mid-Central College Conference meet on April 24 and
25 in Upland, Indiana.
