ORLANDO - The Marian men's tennis team battled, but lost 6-3 in a hard fought match against John Carroll Friday in Orlando, Florida. The Knights fall to 11-5 on the season with the loss.

In doubles play, the Knights picked up a victory at No. 2 as Ian Deiters and Alex Wittenbaum won 9-8 in a tight match. Marty Pochop and Nathan Bogle lost 8-3 at No. 1 and Kirby Tobin and Marcus Hirsch fell at No. 3 by a score of 8-2. 

In singles play, Pochop was defeated at No. 1 6-4, 5-7, 10-5, while Bogle picked up a win at No. 2, 7-5, 6-3. After picking up a win in the first set 6-1, Wittenbaum dropped the next two 7-6 (5) and 10-1. Deiters was victorious at No. 4 with scores of 6-4, 6-4. Hirsch battled, but lost 6-3, 7-5 at No. 5, while Kirby Tobin lost 6-1, 6-0 at No. 6.
