SMYRNA, Tenn. - The Marian men's and women's bowling team competed at sectionals in both Smyrna, Tennessee, and Addison, Illinois, March 11-12. 

As a team, the men placed sixth, while the women placed fifth at the Smyrna Sectional. The Marian men knocked down 12,328 pins and Calumet was crowned champion with 12,731 pins. The women finished fifth with 11,698 pins, while McKendree finished first with 12,834 pins.

Individually, Eric Blessing finished 15th overall at the Smyrna Sectional with 1,242 pins. He knocked down 231 in the first game and 213 in the final game. Steven Ramsey finished 16th at the Addison Sectional with 1,280 pins and bowled a perfect game on the final game of the weekend. His 300 was the high score, while he also bowled 244 in game three.

For the women, Emily Koulis led the way with an 18th place finish. She knocked down 1,145 pins and had a high game of 209 in the fifth game.
