CINCINNATI - The Marian track and field team competed at the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational at the University of Cincinnati Friday and Saturday, and against a field of predominantly NCAA Division I teams, performed well. The men finished second out of 16, while the womn finished eighth out of 12 teams.

On the men's side, the Knights racked up four NAIA national qualifiers. Taylor Killings and Moussa Conde each qualified for nationals in the 110 meter hurdles as Killings won the event in 14.36 seconds and Conde was right behind in second with a time of 14.67 seconds. In the 800, Presley Martin qualified for nationals in the 800 meters with a time of 1:52.63, which was good enough for a third place finish. The 4x100 meter relay team also qualified with a time of 41.69 seconds. Conde, DeVohn JacksonMarcellion Gardner and Richard Von Behr made up the team.

Other notable finishes included Aaron Murray and Mychal Vinson finishing fifth and sixth, respectively, in the 400 meters, and Von Behr finishing sixth in the 100 meters with a time of 11.04 seconds. Zach Sneiderwine finished seventh and Killings was right behind in eighth in the 200 meters. The Marian 4x400 meter relay team finished second with a time of 3:20.91. 

In field events, Jonathon Greene placed third, while Emil Belmontes finished fourth. Gardner picked up a third place finish in the long jump with a leap of 6.3 meters. Greene also finished fifth in the triple jump, clearing 12.66 meters. Jonah Mikel finished sixth in the discus and Jeremy Shupperd finished second in the javelin. Drezden Johnson finished third in the same event.

For the women, Rachel Dever broke the Marian program record in the 5000 meters with a time of 18:13.64. Kiersten Schrope finished 15th in the 800 with a time of 2:19.76. Mieke Paulick crossed the line ninth in 15.84 in the 100 meter hurdles, while Kyndal Herring finished 10th in the 100 meters in 12.81 seconds. Hope Spaulding and Kylee Kasper finished sixth and seventh, respectively, in the 400 meter hurdles, while Maddie Kurcz crossed the line ninth. Marian's 4x400 meter relay team finished sixth in 4:04.29.

In the field events, Paulick placed eighth in the high jump and Herring placed seventh in the long jump. Tamia Mills finished seventh in the triple jump with a leap of 10.57 meters. Karen Jones finished 10th in the shot put and third in the javelin, while Sarah Corbin finished 11th in the discus.
