INDIANAPOLIS - The Marian men's tennis team celebrated Senior Day Friday and picked up a 5-4 win over Davenport (Mich.) at the Marian Tennis Courts. Marian is 15-9 overall with one match remaining in the regular season.

The Knights left doubles play trailing 2-1 with the lone win coming at No. 2 as Ian Deiters and Marty Pochop won 8-2. Danny Albert and Nathan Bogle dropped an 8-3 decision at No. 1, while Alex Wittenbaum and Kirby Tobin fell 8-5 at No. 3.

In singles play the Knights bounced back and it started with Pochop winning by retirement at No. 1. Albert then won 6-2, 7-5 at No. 3 to put the Knights ahead by one. Davenport tied the match up with a win at No. 2 as Bogle fell 4-6, 6-7(8). Deiters regained the lead for Marian with a 6-3, 6-0 win at No. 5 and Wittenbaum clinched the match with a 7-6(9), 6-3 win at No. 4. Tobin fell 6-0, 6-2 at No. 6.
