KANSAS CITY - The Marian baseball team has been selected as the fifth seed in the Kingsport Bracket of the NAIA National Tournament Opening Round and will head to Kingsport, Tennessee to begin play May 15. 

Marian is the fifth seed and will face fourth seed Talladega College (Ala.), while Tennessee Wesleyan is the second seed and will face number three IU Southeast. Number one seed Keiser University will play the winner of Marian and Talladega. The tournament is a double elimination style bracket and play begins May 15. Marian enters with a 29-21 record. Talladega comes in with a 36-23 record and finished as runner-up in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference.

Marian's opening game against Talladega will begin at 11:00 a.m. If the Knights win that game, they will advance to face Keiser at 6:00 p.m. If Marian is unable to win its opening game, they will face the loser of game two at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 16.
