INDIANAPOLIS - The Marian baseball team placed six players on the All-Crossroads League teams and Matt Burleton was named the conference Pitcher of the Year as announced by the Crossroads League Friday.

Burleton has only allowed 46 hits and walked just 14 batters this season, which ranks in the top 50 in the nation in both categories. He earned All-Crossroads League First Team honors for his work.

Joining him on the First Team were Cody Earl and Jordan Jackson. Earl led the team in batting average at .362 and hit 10 doubles, a triple and three home runs. He drove in 37 runs, which was second on the team. The only man in a Marian jersey ahead of him was Jackson who drove in 39 runs and hit 15 home runs. Jackson batted .304 and slugged .627.

Leo LopezJohn O'Malley and Brenden Smith were named to the Honorable Mention team. Lopez hit .331 with seven home runs, while O'Malley hit .322 with 39 runs scored. Smith was an integral part of the bullpen and struck out 32 in 40 innings, while going 6-2.
