INDIANAPOLIS - The Marian women's track and field team received two commits to the 2017 class this week as announced by head coach Mike Holman.

The first commit of the week was Terranecia Gayden. Gayden comes to Marian from Perry Meridian High School, joining the sprints team. She has had a decorated career as a Falcon, being a four-year varsity runner, while also being a 2017 4x400 meter relay conference champion. She has also qualified for sectionals and regionals in her career. Gayden will study business and exercise science at Marian.

The second commit Hannah Dawson, a sophomore transfer student from St. Joseph's College. Dawson will join both the cross country and track teams, while running distance for the track team. Dawson was an honor roll student as both a prep and in her time spent as a Puma. She comes to Marian bringing a decorated running experience from her time at Warsaw High School, where she was a four-time NLC  all-conference XC member, while earning the same honor twice on the track. Hannah also earned two all-state distinctions in track as well. Dawson, a Warsaw, Ind. native, intends to study theology at Marian.
