INDIANAPOLIS - The Marian track and field teams set off for Gulf Shores, Ala. Monday morning to compete in the NAIA National Championships. 26 student-athletes will make the trip to Alabama, as 16 Knights represent the men's team, and 10 represent the women. 


Headlining the men's National Championship roster is Taylor Killings, as he looks to repeat as national champion in the 110 meter hurdles. Killings, a two-time indoor champion in the 60 meter hurdles, enters the race as number two seed. Killings is also listed as an alternate for the 4x100 meter relay.

While the spotlight will be on Killings to repeat and claim his fourth individual national title, Moussa Conde enters with the busiest schedule. The sophomore is set to compete in five different events. Conde will run the 200 meter dash, 110 meter hurdles, 4x100 meter relay, 4x400 meter realy, while also competing in the pole vault.

Presley Martin qualified for the 800 meter run, as he looks to win his second national championship. Martin took victory back in March at the NAIA Indoor Championships in the 800 meter run. Also competing in a distance race is Isaak Haas, who will run the men's marathon.

Marian's men will be competing in both the 4x100 meter relay and the 4x400 meter relay in Gulf Shores, having eight runners available for each race. Those involved with the 4x100 meter relay include: DeVohn Jackson, Conde, Marcellion Gardner, Sogo Akinyosoye, Zach Sneiderwine, Jeremy Shupperd, Killings, and Aaron Murray.

The 4x400 relay roster includes: Sneiderwine, Murray, Mychal Vinson, Conde, Marcus Griffin, Akinyosoye, James Bryant, and Gabe Ocasio.

Rounding off the men's roster are Garrett Johnson and Clayton Wilson, who both qualified in the pole vault. 

For the women, Brittany Sharp qualified for the 10,000 meter run, marking the lone individual event for the Knights women's team. Marian will compete in both the 4x100 meter relay and the 4x400 meter relay. 

The Knights have six runners listed to enter the 4x100 meter relay: tamia Mills, Lateefah Birks, Raven Gibson, Kyndal Herring, Britta Beyer, and Olivia Koehl. 

Running the 4x400 relay are: Koehl, Gibson, Herring, Birks, Kiersten Schrope, Mills, and Racel Dever.
