Gulf Shores, Ala. - The Knights were back at Mickey Miller Blackwell Stadium Friday, as the men's team were involved in three of the trial races. Taylor Killings and Moussa Conde both took on the 110 meter hurdles, Presley Martin ran the 800, and the 4x400 team was also on the track.

In the 110 meter hurdles, Moussa Conde was the top finisher for Marian, as he finished the second heat of the race in 14.51 seconds, coming in third. Moussa's time was a season and personal best. Conde missed the finals by less than .1 seconds, as there was a log jam of runners finishing in 14.50 seconds.

Taylor Killings was last to cross the finish line in the same heat. Killings came into nationals battling a lower-body injury, and ultimately came up lame after clearing the first hurdle. The unfortunate result marks the end of a dominating track career. Killings finishes his Marian career after winning the 110M hurdles at the 2016 Outdoor National Championships, while also winning the 60M hurdles title in both the 2016 and 2017 Indoor National Championships.

Presley Martin finished third in the final heat of the 800M race, finishing in a time of 1:53.04. Martin made a charge on the back straightaway, but got over-taken and was eventually passed during the final 100 meters. Martin placed 11th overall in the nation, missing the finals by less than .2 seconds.

The Knights finished the day running the 4x400 relay, as the team of Zach Sneiderwine, Aaron Murray, Mychal Vinson, and Moussa Conde finished the race in 3:15.04. The Knights were the fourth fastest team in their heat, landing just outside the Top-8 finalists by less than one second. The Knights were tenth overall intially, but a lane violation disqualified the team.

The Knights will finish the week by competing in the pole vault and the men's 4x100 relay in tomorrow's finals. Garrett Johnson, Clayton Wilson, and Moussa Conde are participating in the pole vault, while Conde, DeVohn Jackson, Marcellion Gardner, and Sogo Akinyosoye will run the relay.
