Gulf Shores, Ala. - The Marian women's track season came to a close today, as the Knights ladies raced in the 4x400 relay prelims at the NAIA National Championships. The team qualified for the race at the Last-Chance Meet two weeks ago in Michigan, and were looking to make some noise in the prelims.

The relay team of Olivia Koehl, Raven Gibson, Kyndal Herring, and Lateefah Birks finished their heat in sixth place, finishing with a season best time of 3:52.88. The time was so good, the group broke the Marian school record by over two seconds, a mark that was last set in the 2014-15 season. The relay team placed 11th overall in the nation, concluding the Knights ladies track efforts this season.

The Knights season ends on a high note, finishing the regular season by winning the Crossroads League title and qualifying for four events at nationals. All competitors either set new season bests, or were extremely close to making the finals, a strong building block going into next next year.
