Kansas City, Mo. - The Marian women's track and field team was recognized last Friday after naming five student-athletes to the 2017 NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athletes list, as announced by the NAIA. Britta Beyer, Anna Dudley, Annie Fisher, Kiersten Schrope, and Brittany Sharp are the five Knights to have qualified for this achievement.

The NAIA announced Friday that 467 women's indoor & outdoor track & field student-athletes have been honored as 2017 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status.

As a group, the ladies helped Marian win their first-ever Crossroads League championships in 2017, while representing the school in three events at the outdoor championships. Your online source for Marian Athletics, tickets, multimedia, Knight merchandise, photos and more.
