INDIANAPOLIS - The Marian men's and women's soccer teams have released their 2017 schedules as announced by head coaches Ernie Yarborough and Gary Yohe

The Knights are under the direction of Yarborough, who enters his first season on the sidelines for Marian. He will lead the Knights into the season opener Aug. 24 at Holy Cross. The Knights play their home opener Aug. 29 against Olivet Nazarene and will host Grace in the Crossroads League opener Oct. 4.

The final home game of the season will be Oct. 25 against Huntington, while the final regular season game will be Oct. 28 at Spring Arbor. The Crossroads League Tournament will be held from Nov. 1-11. Marian will play three-straight home matches from Oct. 18-25.

The Knights are coming off of a 7-11-1 season in which they finished seventh in the Crossroads League. To view a complete schedule click here.

Yohe is entering his fourth season as head coach of the Marian women's soccer team and he has continued to move the Knights forward. Last season, Marian finished third in the regular season standings of the Crossroads League and finished runner-up in the Crossroads League Tournament, losing the title match to eventual national champion Spring Arbor.

In 2017, Yohe and the Knights play a difficult nonconference schedule, which begins with the season opener at Northwestern Ohio Aug. 22. Marian follows with the home opener Aug. 26 against Brescia. The month of September is kind to the Knights as they play all seven matches at home, including matches against NCAA Division I member Eastern Illinois and NCAA Division II member Purdue-Northwest.

The Crossroads League opener is set for Sept. 30 versus Bethel and Marian will close the season Oct. 28 at home against two-time defending national champion Spring Arbor. The Crossroads League Tournament will follow during the first two weeks of November.
