INDIANAPOLIS - The Marian cycling team has announced its fall semester schedule for the 2017-18 season, which includes the disciplines of track racing, mountain bike and cyclocross, along with additional races in BMX. 

Dean Peterson is entering his 12th season at the helm of the nation's most successful cycling program and is coming off another national championship season as the Knights won the omnium for the fifth-straight season. 

The 2017-18 campaign kicks off with track racing and the Knights host three nights of track racing in August, beginning Aug. 17. The month of September opens with the BMX team heading to Derby City Nationals in Louisville, Kentucky, Sept. 1, while the mountain bike team also opens its season in Louisville Sept. 2. 

Marian will host the BMX State Challenge Series Finale Sept. 9 at Indy Cycloplex. The track team will host the USA Cycling Collegiate Track Nationals Sept. 14-16 at the Major Taylor Velodrome on the campus of Marian University. A month later, the mountain bike team will head to Missoula, Montana, for the USA Cycling Mountain Bike National Championships Oct. 20-22.

In November, the cyclocross team will host the Major Taylor 'Cross Cup at Indy Cycloplex Nov. 18-19 and USA Cycling Cyclocross Nationals are set for Jan. 10-11 in Reno, Nevada.
