The Marian women's soccer team is currently in Puerto Rico on a preseason trip. Throughout the week, a member of the team will write a post about the team's adventures. The post below is written by Megan Desrosiers.

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico - Today started out really early with leaving MU a little after 5 a.m. for a 7:10 a.m. flight out of the Indianapolis airport. For myself and a few teammates, this was our first time on a plane and our first time out of the country, so it was an interesting morning of having our teammates lead us around the airport. My morning was made during baggage check when security confiscated my perfume bottles because they were over the fluid ounce limit. Oops! We flew first into Atlanta, Georgia, and then from there proceeded to the international airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The flight into Puerto Rico was beautiful!

Once in Puerto Rico, we were bussed to our hotel by a man named Hector who drove like we were in a Fast and Furious movie! He also gave us a lot of information about the area and where some of the tourist spots were to visit. After settling in, we were given the afternoon to explore the area and relax. Personally, I chose the sun and relaxing, but many of my teammates found lots of really cool shops and went to the mall. Dinner was at the Macaroni Grill and we had an amazing time bonding and ripping on each other's photos from the flight. Bedtime was early by choice and not enforced!
