INDIANAPOLIS - The Marian volleyball team extended its winning streak to seven games with a 3-0 win over Grace in Crossroads League play Wednesday night on John Grimes Court. Marian is 9-2 overall and 1-0 in Crossroads League play with the victory.

All three sets were close throughout, but each time Marian came out on top with wins of 25-22, 25-18, 25-22. Nearly every major statistic was close, but Marian held an edge in kills, errors, assists, aces and digs, which ultimately led to the win. During the seven-game win streak, Marian has swept its opponent six times.

Anne Strevels and Kacee Salyers led the way on the attack with 10 kills each. Salyers added five assists, 10 digs and two service aces, while Strevels had a block solo and and a block assist. Julie Hoying's 18 assists led Marian and she contributed five kills and six digs as well. Madi Heffron posted a double-double of 11 assists and 17 digs, while Vanessa Lay's 21 digs led the team. 

Marian held a 44-35 advantage in kills and a committed four less errors than Grace. The Knights had a hitting percentage of .190 compared to Grace's .097.
