INDIANAPOLIS - The Knights won their fourth dual match of the year on Tuesday, defeating Bethel 5-1 at the Community Healthplex facilities. A threat of rain forced the match inside, as well as making the competition play until clinch format.

The doubles play started out with a loss for the Knights, as Ian Deiters and Nathan Bogle lost at No. 1 8-6 to the Pilots Jacob Macri and Jose Morales. Marian bounced back on the No. 2 doubles court, as Noah Roberts and Alex Wittenbaum won their match 8-5 against Evan Ferguson and Sid Perterson. Finishing doubles play strong, the Turner Lesnick and Nicholas Marroquin defeated Brian Shembarger and Chad Van Dosen 8-5 to give the home team a 2-1 advantage as they shifted toward singles.

Wittenbaum gave the Knights a quick win at No. 4 singles, as he defeated Morales 6-0, 6-0. Deiters gave the Knights their fourth point of the match on the No. 2 singles court, besting Ferguson 6-4, 6-1. Clinching the match for Marian was Roberts, who breezed through his match 6-0, 6-2 at No. 3.

Marian was able to get started in their other singles matches, but they remained unfinished after clinching the match. Bogle led 6-3, 2-2 at No. 1, Marroquin was winning 6-3, 3-0 at No. 5, and Lesnick was trailing 1-2 at No. 6 when the match finished.
