ST. LOUIS - The Marian wrestling program will be the newest member of the American Midwest Conference as announced by the AMC Thursday afternoon. The Knights are entering their second season on the mat.

"We are very excited to be joining the American Midwest Conference," said Marian Athletics Director Steve Downing. "This is a fantastic opportunity for Marian University and we hope it will continue to build momentum for our young program. I want to thank the AMC for this opportunity and we hope this will be a great partnership for years to come."

Joining Marian in the AMC will be in-state foe Calumet-St. Joseph. Last season, the Knights finished sixth at the NAIA Regional in Davenport, Michigan, while Calumet-St. Joseph finished ninth at the NAIA Midwest Regional in 2016.
