Not looking back, the visitors controlled the lead and tempo of the second set, evening the score at 1-1 with a 25-21 win.

Digging themselves into a 18-15 hole in the third set, the Knights rallied off seven straight points to put themselves in front 22-18. Marian finished the set strong, coming away with a 25-22 win. Finding themselves trailing on three seperate occasions in the fourth set, Marian used multiple scoring runs to even the set. A St. Francis attack error evened the set at 23-23, lighting a spark for Marian. A double block by AlyxaKay Shields and Anne Strevels gave Marian the 24-23 lead, before Julie Hoying ended the match with a service ace.
