INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- After a week of inclement weather, the Marian College baseball team finally gets back on the playing field as it hosts the Huntington University Forester this afternoon at Marian Baseball Field.

The Knights and Foresters have not met in the 2007 campaign. Last season, the Knights took three-out-of-four from their Mid-Central College Conference foe en route to the MCC title.

Senior Joel Strode (Canton, Ill./Canton) continues to lead the Knights in hitting with a .338 average while senior Derek Malikian (Charlottesville, Va./New River CC) has hammered four home runs, four doubles and a triple. Freshman Mike Keltz (Avon, Ind./Avon) is hitting .306 and is second on the team with two long balls and leads the team in doubles with five. Sophomore Josh Terrell (Richmond, Va./Danville JC) leads the Knights with nine stolen bases while senior Jeff Brunette (Indianapolis, Ind./Bishop Chatard) is 3-1 with a 2.65 ERA and four complete games in five starts.

The Knights also play host to conference rival Grace College on Tuesday at Marian Baseball Field. First pitch is slated for 1 p.m.
