INDIANAPOLIS - The Marian women's tennis team was eliminated from the Crossroads League Tournament Thursday, losing its semifinal match, 5-3, to Huntington at the Indy Racquet Club. Marian finishes the fall season 9-2.

Marian took care of business in the doubles portion, winning two of the three matches. The Foresters took the lead with a win at No. 2 as Maria Lueken and Anne Taylor fell 8-2. Mary Mullaney and Emma Wood tied the match with an 8-3 win at No. 3, while Elise Betscher and Maria Angela Sunga won 8-4 at No. 1.

Huntington battled back in singles play though, winning four of the first five matches to clinch the win and move on the finals. Mullaney fell 6-2, 6-3 at No. 5 and Betscher lost 6-3, 6-1 at No. 1. Sunga earned a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 3 for the lone Knights victory as the day ended with Lueken taking a 6-3, 6-4 loss at No. 2 and Alex Griebling losing 5-7, 7-6(7), 6-3 at No. 6. Taylor's match at No. 4 singles did not finish.
