Wauwatosa, Wis. - Over the weekend the Marian bowling team participated in their first competition of the season, traveling to Wauwatosa, Wis. to play in the 47th Annual Midwest Collegiate Championships. There were 40 men's teams with 278 bowlers and 32 women's teams with 211 bowlers that competed. 

Men's bowling finished 15th overall in the tournament, besting several NCAA Division I programs. As a team Marian knocked down 9,341 pins in 12 games. Jeffery Mann was to top bowler for the Knights, as he finished his first tournament in 14th place. Patrick Huebschman finished four positions behind Mann, placing 18th. Baylen Shoemaker finished 72nd overall, rounding out the men's individual finishers. 

For the women's team, the Knights also finished competition in 15th place overall. Marian's women bowled a total score of 8,075 in their 12 games. Representing the team as individuals in the top-100 were Emily Koulis and Sarah Martin. Koulis finished 23rd overall, while Martin placed 68th. 

The Knights will be in action on October 21 and 22, as they compete in the Western Bowl Collegiate Shootout at Western Bowl in Indianapolis. Your online source for Marian Athletics, tickets, multimedia, Knight merchandise, photos and more.
