NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. - The Marian wrestling team competed at Little State Saturday in North Manchester, Ind. The competition brought in several teams from around the state of Indiana.

In the 125 weight class, Chris Sharp and Anthony Jagel competed. Jagel won his first match by decision, but fell in his second match. After Sharp lost his first match, he won by major decision in his first match in the consolation bracket. That set up a meeting between the two in which Sharp won 4-3 by decision. Sharp dropped his next two bouts, but finished eighth on the day.

Two more Knights entered the 141 class as Levi Moss and Ryan Surguy competed. Moss won his first two matches 5-2 and 3-1 by decision, while Surguy won his first by decision and dropped his second by fall in 27 seconds. Surguy lost his first match in the consolation bracket and Moss picked up a fourth place finish.

In the 149 weight class, Logan Hurley finished sixth and Logan Dilbeck finished seventh. Both wrestlers won two matches in the consolation bracket with one of Hurley's coming over Dilbeck by fall in 1:07. At the 157 class, Quienton Ingram won by tech fall in his first match of the championship bracket and Kain Rust picked up four wins in the consolation brack en route to a sixth place finish.  

Brett Johnson and Trezdon O'Neal each competed at the 165 class with Johnson taking fifth and O'Neal finishing sixth. O'Neal won a match in the championship bracket by major decision and Johnson earned a win by decision. In the fifth place match, Johnson beat O'Neal 10-7 by decision. Cameron Simmons finished seventh in the 174 class and earned a pair of wins in the consolation bracket.

Charlie Hill finished second in the 184 class and Ike Murrell finished eighth. Hill won two matches by fall in 4:08 and another by major decision, 9-0. In the 197 class, Zach Worm won a match by fall in 39 seconds and Ethan Bunce picked up a fifth place finish in the heavyweight class. In the consolation bracket, he won back-to-back matches by fall and won his semfinal match by major decision. In the fifth place match, Bunce won 6-4 by decision.
