MARION, Ind. -- The Marian College women's cross country team closed out its 2006 team campaign with a solid 10th-place finish at the 2006 NAIA Region VIII Championships at Indiana Wesleyan on Saturday.

The Knights were led by junior Julia Konopasek, who finished in 48th place with a time of 20:26. Sophomore Sarah Fowler finished in 61st with a time of 20:43 while junior Erica Baechle finished in 74th with a time of 21:07.

Junior Molly Till finished in 77th with a time of 21:15 and junior Jessica VanVleet was nipping at her heels in 78th with a time of 21:18.

Senior Regina Rust finished in 85th with a time of 21:28 while freshman Jill Kuntz (95th) had a time of 21:55, junior Laticia Yeager (98th) had a time of 22:05, and sophomore Amanda Frey (116th) had a time of 23:54.
