David Roberts enters his 26th season as the head coach of the men's and women's cross country programs.

A two-time Mid-Central College Conference Coach of the Year, Roberts has led 26 Knights to national qualification and has had five individual conference champions. He has had four NAIA All-Americans in cross country and led the women's program to the 1994 MCC Championship.

A member of the 2006 and 2007 USATF outdoor championships organizing committee, Roberts was instrumental in the production of events in the city of Indianapolis on both the local and national levels. He also served as a coach at the 1996 Indianapolis Peace Games.

He resides in Indianapolis with his wife and they have four children.
 

Shawn Murray - Assistant Coach - 2nd Season
 
Shawn Murray is entering his first season as assistant coach for the Marian University cross country program.

Murray, a three-year letter winner at Marian University, graduated with a bachelor of science degree in sport management in 2009. He lettered as a competitor from 2006 through 2008 and was a 2009 NAIA national qualifier in the marathon where he finished 28th.

Currently, Murray holds the school record in the marathon with a time of 2:53:27.

He resides in Indianapolis.
