KNIGHTS MEN'S SOCCER BLOG 2011
Throughout the 2011 season, Marian University senior goalkeeper James Dulhanty will write a weekly blog about current happenings with the team.
"The Start We Wanted" (posted September 14, 2011)
It's mid-September and it has been a month since this team has united, and we stand at 5-0 with wins over Lawrence Tech, CCU, Hanover, Franklin, and St. Catharine. This is the exact start we wanted, and we have met our team goals thus far.
But things cannot stop here. Conference is right around the corner with the opening match at home against Taylor on the 24th of this month. The freshmen and transfers on the team will quickly learn that conference games are not the same as the others. Every game is close and the intensity of the game is extremely high, as well. Every game in conference is a close one and games like these should not be overlooked by any means.
Practices need to get more competitive to prepare players for the high intensity of these upcoming games. Every game up to this doesn't matter anymore, because the success of the team is based on conference play and our position at the end of the season. We have three more games before conference officially starts. These next three games will prepare us for next Saturday's home conference opener.
Thanks for tuning in for Marian University men's soccer team update and more to come next week.
Stay classy MU!
