"Growing Together to Open the Year" (posted on August 30, 2010)

Hey Knights Fans! I just wanted to update you on the volleyball team!

This past week we played IU-East in the Castle. We lost in five hard fought sets. While this match helped us see where we needed improvement, it also gave us many glimpses of the team that we are becoming. We play with heart and desire and for one another! That is was a team should be.

On Saturday, we scrimmaged the University of Indianapolis. We played very well against them, and everyone stepped up and played hard. We took another step forward with our improvements and what we can do.

On Sunday, we spent the day at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway working our concession stand. Once again, we did a great job and had some fun while we were at it.

This coming week we are in action against the Butler University Bulldogs on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at 7 p.m. in Hinkle Fieldhouse. Then, we are in action again, in the Castle, on Wednesday, September 1, against DePauw University at 7 p.m.

I would like to thank the students that came out and supported the MU Volleyball team against IU-East! Keep up the good work and we would to see you at all the home matches.
