INDIANAPOLIS - Head men's soccer coach Chad Hardin is proud to announce the first signing for the 2011-12 season. Corbin Beall, who is set to graduate from Avon High School this June, recently committed to the Marian University Knights.
Beall, an outside back and outside midfielder, will join an MU squad who finished the 2010-11 season 12-6-2 overall and were 5-2-1 in Mid-Central College Conference play. The Knights also made it to the semi-finals of the MCC tournament for the first time since the 2007-08 season.
At Avon High School, Beall was a four-year varsity letter winner who scored five goals and picked up eight assists in his senior season. He was also named third-team All-State, first-team All-District and was an All-Metro team selection in his career with the Orioles.
Beall helped lead Avon to sectional championships during the 2008, 2009 and 2010 seasons, regional championships in 2009 and 2010 and a pair of semi-state appearances in 2009 and 2010. He was also honored as an All-Academic selection.
Beall was also a member of the Westside United '93 team that earned three consecutive state championships, and two consecutive regional semi-final appearances.
"I am very excited to add Corbin to our team," stated coach Hardin. "He comes from a very successful school program and club program. He is a versatile player and can be utilized at several different positions. I expected him to come in and battle right away and be a contributor to our program."
