INDIANAPOLIS - Marian University head men's bowling coach Chad Hardin is proud to announce the second commitment to the third season of men's bowling.
Zack Hattori, along with two other student-athletes, committed to the Knights for 2012-13.
"This is a great day for Marian University bowling," said Hardin of the commitment of Hattori, Fields and Ventillo. "These three have known each other for a long time and it's exciting to have them be able to compete together. I am excited to be able to work with them throughout their collegiate careers and I'm happy they will be competing in a Marian University uniform."
Hattori recently completed a transfer from the College of Southern Nevada to compete with Marian University bowling.
Hattori is a 2012 Team USA member who has won 12 JBT titles. He was a two-time high school state champion at Silverado High School in Las Vegas. He won the 2010 and 2011 Teen Masters High School Boys championship and was the 2011 Team Masters Grand Champion. He was named a SNVSBC Above and Beyond award winner in 2008 and is the Nevada state four-game record holder (1,146).
He was named a Bowler's Journal High School Top 100 Prospect in 2010 and 2011 and finished in 31st place at the World Series of Bowling Viper Championships. He owns 12 300 games and has tallied five 800 series in his career.
He was a member of the National Honor Society at Silverado High School and will come to Marian University as a freshman bowler.
Hattori, along with Diante Fields and Ryan Ventillo, committed to the Knights on Friday afternoon for the 2012-13 season.
