INDIANAPOLIS - Marian University head men's soccer coach Chad Hardin is proud to announce his second commitment for the 2011-12 season.
Jacob Hicks, who will graduate from Madison Consolidated High School this spring, committed to Marian University and becomes the second student-athlete to do so for the 2011-12 season.
Hicks was a four-year varsity goalkeeper who was part of four consecutive sectional championship-winning teams. He notched 24 career shutouts while serving as team captain during his senior year. He was an All-District first team selection as a senior and an All-District second team pick as a junior. He was also selected to compete in the Indiana All-State Showcase and was an East/West All-Star game participant last fall. In addition to his prowess on the field, Hicks was also a two-time Academic All-State pick.
Hicks competed with Southern Indiana United and Columbus Express during his club career. He competed at the state level with Southern Indiana United and was part of the Louisville Cup winners in 2009. He is currently competing with the Columbus Express.
Hicks joins Corbin Beall as the commitments for the 2011-12 season.
