INDIANAPOLIS - Marian University head women's soccer coach Kurt Guldner is proud to announce the eighth commitment for the 2011-12 season.
Sharisse Yoder, who graduated from Bethany Christian High School this spring, became the eighth student-athlete to commit to the two-time MCC champions for 2011-12.
Yoder, a midfielder/back, earned the Senior Scholar-Athlete award at Bethany Christian and earned an academic letter in each of her four years while not missing a day of school.
She was named the team Most Valuable Player in both her junior and senior seasons. She was named All-Conference first team both seasons and as named an All-Academic player. She was the MVP of the East/West All-Star Game and finished ranked fourth in scoring with 41 goals and 35 assists at Bethany Christian.
She tallied the most assists in her freshman and sophomore seasons and was named All-Conference as a sophomore. She is a member of the Shore Mennonite Church and is an active participant in the youth group.
MU is coming off its fourth straight season of 12 or more victories, including two Mid-Central College Conference regular season titles.
