KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Marian University softball team will start the season receiving votes in the 2012 NAIA Softball Coaches' Preseason Top 25 Poll, the national office announced on Tuesday. In 2011, the Knights finished 36-9 overall and 12-4 in Mid-Central College Conference action and fell in the championship game of the conference tournament.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Rising junior Helen Rogers of the Marian University softball team earned the honor of NAIA All-America honorable mention, the national office announced on Thursday. This is the first time the catcher from Avon, Ind., has received the honor.

STARKVILLE, Miss. - The National Fastpitch Coaches' Association honored five Knights as members of its 2011 Louisville Slugger/NFCA NAIA All-Region teams. 160 student-athletes were chosen to represent their institutions and the Knights earned four first-team selections, as well as a second-team selection.

GULF SHORES, Ala. - Four Knights have been honored as 2011 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes for the 2010-11 school year, the national office announced on Tuesday. To be eligible for this honor, the student-athlete must have been nominated by an institution's head coach, maintained a 3.5 grade point average and must have achieved junior standing.
